I just realized that in the middle of celebrating Gracie's birthday and Valentine's Day, I didn't post about Michael getting a new job. Most of you probably already know, but he got a job at St. John's working in the Medical ICU. He is still working at Mueller's for this weekend and maybe one more weekend, but he has also already started at St. John's so things have been kind of hectic. So far, he LOVES it. He is a PCA...Patient Care Assistant so he does all kinds of things...taking vitals, charting, cleaning up unmentionalble things (by the way, NOT his favorite part of the job), helping people eat, etc. He has even used his Spanish some. This week he has to complete some orientation stuff and then we will have a better idea of his schedule. We are probably looking at a lot of evenings and nights which will be a whole new experience. He has already come home with some very interesting stories about conditions I have never heard of...they get a little bit of everything in this part of the ICU...illnesses, accident victims, etc. Having had Rob in the ICU after his accident has made Michael more compassionate about some of the duties he has I think.
Me and the girls are doing good too. We are trying to implement a little more routine into our day...Gracie is getting old enough she needs a little bit of structure to keep her from getting bored. I am doing some preschool curriculum research to try to find some age-appropriate, FUN lessons we can do at home. She loves learning things and we are going to try to do some Bible lessons, letter/numeral recognition lessons, and other developmental things...lots of art, gross/fine motor skill stuff, and thank God spring is getting closer...LOTS of outside stuff.
So, that is what we have been up to. Hope you all are doing good! Have a great day!
