We have unofficially sold our house. We finally came to an agreement with the buyers so we will just have to go through closing and all of that fun stuff to make it offical. We found out last night, and after crying for about half an hour, I feel pretty good about it. This will enable us to become completely debt free with the exception of a little bit of Michael's last hospital bill, which is interest free so we're okay with that. Now we just have lots of packing to do and pray the floorplan we want opens up so we can just move straight from here to The Greens. This is for sure not the easiest thing to do but we think it will be good for our long term goals. The easiest thing would have been to just take out student loans and continue to go into debt. We both hate being in debt and don't want to dig ourselves into a hole we can't get out of. And it is very short term...one year to one and a half years. Time will fly.
So the weeks to come will probably be a little bit of an emotional roller coaster for me but I keep telling myself this is not a tragedy...a tragedy is what our friends the Grover's are going through who have been told they have only weeks left with their little girl. I have a wonderful husband, two sweet healthy little girls that I get to stay home with, and the God of the universe loves us more than we can imagine and has our little family in the palm of His hand. What more could we ask for?
