Hi everyone. Today was the first day in our new church building. We had only one service so everyone could experience the first service together. I heard we had about 800 people there! It was absolutely amazing. Excitement was in the air as we walked into the building and sitting in our new sanctuary was pretty neat. The girls got to go to their new classes and the rooms are so nice...everything is so new. Ed and Wayne (our pastors) both spoke today and their message was very meaningful. We watched a video highlighting important parts of this whole process from the vision the leadership had, to the firstfruits/commitment Sunday (where the church committed to 2.3 million dollars...so much more than expected!), to shots of the building process, to footage of members clearing out and saying goodbye to our old building. There were two baptisms and several people who placed membership with our church. Overall, it was a pretty exciting day, and it was made even better b/c Michael had the day off so he got to attend services with his girls!
I am going to get some new pictures posted on our shutterfly website this week, but here are a few good ones!
