Steven Curtis Chapman is one of my absolute all-time favorite artists. I own just about every CD I think. His family has been a huge proponent of adoption and has inspired so many people. Their family has experienced a devastating tragedy and need our prayers. One of their little adopted girls, 5 years old, was killed yesterday when one of her teen-age brothers struck her with a SUV in the driveway because he didn't see her as he backed up. Can you even imagine? I'm not sure how a family even survives something like that. This video is of a song that was inspired from giving two of his little girls a bath...one of them little Maria, the one who was killed. This song made me cry before, but now...another reminder to hold your little ones close and to thank God for every moment we have with the little treasures God gives us.
Maria is the little one in Steven Curtis Chapman's lap in the picture above.
