If you know the Barr's, you know we are pretty big fans of pizza around here. Michael likes Pizza Hut...I like almost anything but Pizza Hut (I'll eat it...it's just not my favorite)...and the girls will eat anything that has the name pizza in it. Well, we have a new family favorite in our house that all 4 of us will eat and not feel like we are compromising our specific tastes.... Give it a try...It is so good!
Chicken Pizza
- 1 tube refrigerated pizza crust
- olive oil
- 1 c. mozzarella
- 1 c. cheddar
- 3 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- red pepper, thinly sliced
- red onion, thinly sliced
- shredded chicken (grilled or rotisserie)
Roll out the crust on a pizza stone. Drizzle with olive oil and spread lightly over dough. Place 1/2 c. of each cheese on the crust. Add bacon, pepper, onion, and chicken. Top with remaining 1/2 cups of cheese. Drizzle a bit of olive oil over top. Bake at 450*. Enjoy!
We also had a little treat tonight...this is probably an old-as-dirt recipe, but I have never made it before. Using refrigerated crescent dough.... Seperate the triangles and lay flat on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spread each triangle with butter and sugar-cinnamon mixture to cover. Roll up and bake at 375. After baking, I took them off the sheet and place din a small dish so they were touching and added powdered sugar icing over the top...the easiest "cinnamon rolls" ever!
Happy cooking!
